Love and moon beams - a bohemian Vancouver wedding
When I first met Heather & Gordon, I knew they were a couple I was going to love working with, and I was super excited about the theme they wanted to incorporate. Lovers of astronomy and moon phase astrology, they wanted to incorporate it into their Vancouver wedding day.
The perfect day for a beautiful Vancouver wedding
On September 30, 2017 they said "I do" at Reflections, the rooftop of Rosewood Hotel Georgia. “We chose today as our wedding day because the moon was in a phase that represents a time of growth, potential, and expanding light."Heather wore a Rime Arodaky dress, completed with a Luna Bea Flow Halo. Her beautiful floral bouquet was created by the talented ladies of The Wild Bunch.
The Permanent was the perfect Vancouver wedding reception venue for these two and their loved ones.
The colour palette was made up of, navy blue for the midnight sky, gold for the twinkling stars and cream for the luminous moon. This balloon installation was inspired by the feeling of space and weightlessness tying in with the theme. These were kept to a small balcony area, to create interest in the space.Railtown Catering was selected to nourish guests and served an elegant plated dinner.Originally we were going to bring in a moon prop, this manifested into a floral inspired moon. Shout out to the ladies at The Wild Bunch for this beautiful creation. Lightmapping was used on the wall throughout the night, to tie in the galactic feel. We initially used this feature lightly but as the night progressed and the dance party began, we amped it up for a super cool effect!Vancouver Wedding Planner Susanna Stewart EventsFlorals by The Wild BunchPhotography done by Danelle BoheneBrides Dress from Union BridalCatering by Railtown CateringProduction Here There Studios
