The Event

Think pink? Make that drink pink! Modern consumers have a bottomless thirst for all things pink, including modern rosé wines. Gone are the days of sickly sweet rosés of the 70s—the new varieties are refreshing, beautifully balanced, and produced by talented winemakers all over BC and beyond.

Susanna Stewart and her team hosted this fun summertime party to shine a light on a range of (mostly) local rosé wines and their makers. She dreamt up a fun consumer-focused event that was entertaining, light-hearted, and packed with eye candy.

The modern space in Vancouver’s Settlement Building was filled with tickled-pink guests that ranged from savvy wine aficionados to everyday wine lovers that all had one thing in common: they all appreciate a crisp and refreshing glass of rosé. People sipped fresh, vibrant rosés with flavours ranging from strawberry and honeydew to rhubarb and rose petal.

The key objectives were to increase wine sampling, brand awareness, and boost event attendance from the previous year. The previous Rosé Vancouver event was an intimate media-only affair with about 30 people in attendance. 2018’s event grew to 150 guests, and the tickets sold out in less than 48 hours!

Susanna pulled off a fun, modern, oh-so-Instagram-worthy event dedicated to everyone’s favourite summertime drink.

The Details

Susanna and her team kept it casual and cute in jeans, white kicks and blush tees. Keeping with the informal vibe, guests were offered pizza bites and other tasty canapé pairings. Our bar team, Lavish Liquid, were on site to welcome guests with our rosé-inspired take on the French 75—each drink was finished off with a puff of pink cotton candy from Petite Puff!

“When a drink becomes one of the most used hashtags on social media, an event with it as the central focus seems only natural! Add in one of the city’s most creative, well-respected event planners and you have a delicious recipe for success. Rosé Vancouver was everything I’d hoped it would be and more! Featuring coveted rosé from many of BC’s top wineries, gorgeous rosé themed decor, delicious bites that were almost too pretty to eat, and some of Vancouver’s most influential movers and shakers, it was perfection. The stuff of Instagram dreams! I can’t wait to see what Susanna does next."
