I began planning the Cabriolet Gala five years ago for Brian Jessel BMW. It is one of Vancouver's signature fundraising galas, one of the first steps to planning an event is to establish a theme. For this years' gala, we wanted to weave in some old world glamour and a touch of cabaret. A colour palette of deep seductive red, black and touches of gold was selected. Red velvet draping added warmth and a luxurious feel to the space.photo credit: Allison Kuhlphoto credit: Twyst CreativeA saucer glass of champagne is oh so chic, so a champagne tower was a must on my list. We incorporated a balloon install which represented the "bubbles" and highlighted our champagne lounge beautifully. Guests dined on appetizers by Joe Fortes and Hy's. A seated dinner of scallops and AAA beef tenderloin was served, followed by a decadent chocolate dessert by Temper.I selected Darlings Caberet to open the evening and draw attention to our stage and they did just that! I then wanted to bring in some talent outside of they typical Vancouver gala band. Annie Trousseu was brought in from Los Angeles. She was a real showstopper, wowing the the crowd.Do you need help planning a gala of your own? We would love to help, contact us here for more info on our gala planning service's.
